Equine work experience
I have spent numerous years working alongside other professionals in a variety of positions. I have dedicated my time to learning all that I can about the sport of eventing and training, both in riding and in horse and barn management. As the assistant trainer at Tally Ho Farms, I have developed superior organizational and time management skills in scheduling and organizing clinics for the riders and drafting time charts for competitions. In the absence of the owner, I have been left in sole charge of the facility’s operations, with responsibilities including six to eight training rides per day, providing three to five hours of lessons and coaching, and managing the daily care of 15 horses. I am adaptable and capable of thinking on my feet in difficult situations and have the ability to respond appropriately in medical emergencies, such as colic and tying up, and when a horse becomes cast. I consistently strive to be the best I can be, both for myself and for my clients.
