Job Description

Oversee or Assist in implementing a comprehensive horseback riding program and in caring for horses and equipment. Experience teaching Western and/or English riding needed. Manage staff and barn duties. Lead training for staff before and during the season.

Requirements

Previous management or supervisory experience at a horseback riding facility required.

The Facility

We offer quality riding school instruction in a summer camp setting. We are seeking qualified riding instructors to implement a comprehensive horse program that includes beginning to advanced English, Western and Vaulting at Skylark Ranch. Western Riding only at Sugar Pine. Responsibilities include, teaching riding lessons (or vaulting lessons), assisting in the care and maintenance of horses and equipment. Teaching skills and experience with children ideal. Minimum age is 18 years. The program is June 4 to Aug 21, 2010. Excellent salary plus room and board offered. Unit counselor positions within the riding program are also available. Other Director positions available(must have leadership and management experience in horse programs).
