•	Ability to keep the yard immaculate and work on own initiative and clean and tidy without being told
•	Able to look after horses at competitions
•	Very good level of flatwork, a very quiet, sympathetic rider is needed and this is more important that high levels of riding ability.  Good basic flatwork important and must be able to ride horses correctly on the bit.  No nervous riders please.

The other duties are occasional help with cattle, occasional help with children (aged 16, 15 and 4 years), housekeeping, and house sitting.  The vacancy is sole charge, so the applicant will need to be comfortable working on his/her own.  'There are other members of staff but not with the horses so you would be on your own.  A very high standard of tidiness and pride in work, whether house or yard.

This is a 6 day week with holiday benefits; applicant needs to be flexible with hours due to competitions.

Unfortunately we do not have the facilities for people to bring pets or horses (no spare stables)

Must be a car driver and have an English driving licence and own car, as we are very rural with little public transport.
