Private show barn in King City is seeking a dedicated full time staff member for show grooming, general barn duties and for management of our small group of horses. Beautiful facility with a great group of horses and riders. This is a six day a week position during the show season, weekends and helping at the shows is required. During off weeks, extra days off are available if interested. Riding a possibility to the right person. Travel to the USA is needed from Feb to mid May. Previous horse experience and own transportation required. We currently have 6 easy going horses between a couple clients. General barn duties such as but not limited to: general care of horses, general barn cleanliness, basic equine first aid, tacking/untacking horses, maintaining paddock cleanliness, show prep, post showing care, ect. Horses typically live outside when the weather is good so chores are on the lighter side in the warm months. Ability to travel to occasional away shows during the summer required (Ottawa, Quebec, Calgary, The Royal) Experience braiding (hunters) a plus but not required and can teach if interested in extra income. A Restricted License to drive a truck and trailer a plus but not required - willingness to be taught required. South Carolina is home base for four months each winter - accommodations given while in the states.
