**Location: **Hampshire Accommodation: Live-in or Live-out options Salary: £30,000 per annum negotiable
Working on a private HNW estate, you will be providing daily support to five horses and stables overseeing their schedules, training new members of staff as well as providing well-rounded care.
Ideally, candidates will live in however a live-out candidate could be considered if they live within a 10-15 minute radius of the client's home.
Responsibilities include:
- Oversee the feeding, grooming and overall care of the horses to ensure their health and well-being
- Develop and implement feeding schedules, vaccination protocols and deworming programs
- Monitor horses for signs of illness or injury and arrange for veterinary care when necessary
- Maintain accurate records of horse health, medical treatments and vaccinations
- Maintain and manage the stable facility, ensuring cleanliness, safety and functionality
- Oversee the maintenance and repair of barns, stables, fences, arenas and other equestrian facilities
- Manage supply inventory, including feed, bedding, tack and equipment
- Develop and implement protocols for manure management, manure disposal and pasture rotation
- Monitor and maintain the quality of the footing in riding areas
- Interact with family and ensure their satisfaction
- Maintain accurate records of billing and payments
- Organise the oversee horse shows, clinics and other equestrian events
- Prepare and manage the stable budget, including forecasting and tracking expenses and revenues
- Monitor and control costs related to horse care, facility maintenance and other operational aspects
- Develop pricing structures for services offered by the stable
Requirements:
- Experience in stable management or a related field, demonstrating leadership and organisational skills
- Certification in equine management or related fields is an advantage
- Eligibility to work in the UK
- Fluency in English
