General purpose Groom/Helper to help on Sundays plus possibly more weekday hours - mainly afternoons and evenings plus cover for absences (to be agreed). Part-time help with the horses and the other animals on a small private grassland farm: 3 friendly adult mares, young gelding, small flock of sheep and the barn cat.
Currently three other part-time helpers.
The morning session starts at 8.30am and takes about 4 hours in the winter, about 2 to 3 hours in the summer.
The evening session starts at 6pm and takes about 2 hours in the winter, 1 to 2 hours in the summer.
The work includes mucking out, turning out and bringing in, feeding, poo picking (we have ATVs/ UTVs) and general yard duties.
Good sympathetic rider potentially helpful but not essential.
Must be comfortable handling animals, including helping to teach the youngster.
Ideally located close to Four Marks.
Must drive and have a car.
Must provide references.
