We are looking for an enthusiastic and friendly Centre Assistant. The role involves the daily care of our horses, ponies and other animals (chickens, ducks, cats and rare breed sheep), and also involves assisting with therapeutic sessions, trail rides, Pony Club, summer camps and riding sessions at our small, friendly, inclusive equestrian centre. The ideal candidate will hold and equine / animal care qualification and be happy to turn out, bring in, muck out etc. on their own, in addition to working as part of a team. Exercising the horses can also a part of the role, using groundwork and riding, and a kind, capable and confident rider would be preferred, however this is not essential as full training will be given. We would also welcome applications from people looking for Apprentice opportunities.
Equine welfare is a high priority to us and we are a values based organisation, so this role would be particularly suited to someone with a horse-centred approach with an interest in equine / animal welfare.
There will be opportunities to train to supervisor level and for the right candidate. It is easier to reach our location by car, however there is a train station and a bus stop within walking distance.
