Full time permanent position available to care for our in-patients. Must be a team player with OCD when it comes to cleanliness and tidiness. Excellent horse handling skills required for this interesting and challenging job. Some veterinary nurcing duties are also included for which full in-house training will be provided. The job essentially involves total care of our in-patients comprising 5-star stable management, preparation for theatre, theatre nursing, post-op intensive care and for some cases, controlled rehabilitation including spa treatment, treadmill exercise, lunging and ridden exercise. It also includes handling horses for all the routine veterinary procedures including lameness work-ups, x-rays, dentistry, vettings etc. We are looking for a team player with an outgoing personality who can communicate intelligently with clients. Traditionally we have trained-up our nurses from people with an excellent stable management /horse handling background. The job does involve weekend and out of hours work on a rota basis.
