Duties include basic horse management, facility care and maintenance: -feeding -turn out (includes equipping horses with appropriate seasonal wear)

• mucking stalls
• General cleaning (sweeping, blowing aisles)
• Dragging arenas (will train)
• Cleaning of feed room and tractor shed
• Fence repair
• Caring for fly system
• Seasonal work (cleaning fans, cleaning paddocks)
• Regular farm upkeep as required for neat and orderly operation. No horse grooming, tacking or riding is expected. No driving trailers or off site horse show travel. The applicant must have extensive prior horse handling experience and be kind. You will be working with our Barn Manager.

Work schedule is well laid out and easy to follow. Seasonally approx. 7:30 am - noon, then 4-6 and night check 8-9 pm. Due to availability required for am feed & night check, living on site is required. Full time position is Minimum 5 days, possibly 6 days per week. Part time position is 1-2 days per week. Week end work is required.

Apartments are equipped with w/d, hvac, WiFi and are connected to the barn. Parking is allocated for 1 to 2 cars per apartment. Farm is located in a nice quiet neighborhood backing into a forest, yet only 10 minutes to grocery etc shopping.

There are less than 10 horses. Almost all use automatic waterers, including outside. Farm is well run with supplies and regular maintenance (by others).
