CAVALOR NORTH AMERICA, US International Equine Nutrition
Cavalor North America is looking for a MidAtl/ Northeast outside territory manager. The ideal candidate will have a background in the equine industry, solution sales and dealer support.
Your mission: You will develop our market share in a growing but heavily competitive market environment. Your territory will be states of Mid Atlantic and Northeast of United States. We expect the territory to grow aggressively over the next 12-18 months to reach a basic level of market penetration. The desired growth over the first 12 months within the feed segment is 15% and a growth of 12% in supplements and care products. The key challenge is to grow within the high performance show jumping, dressage & eventing while also expanding the base within other equine disciplines. (i.e reining, barrel racing, endurance and recreational horse owners).
Specific responsibilities & duties: · Daily sales calls to existing accounts (feed & tack stores). · Visit potential clients at farms and convert horses to Cavalor. · Identify opportunities for growing sales volume with new stores, farms and veterinarians. · Build client relationships and maximize customer service/satisfaction. · Make nutritional recommendations/feeding plans. · Interact with veterinarians; make presentations for further growth development. · Merchandising in stores to maximize exposure and turn of products. · Obtain orders, communicate with office. · Obtain monthly and quarterly goals for selling and growing the market (increase of distribution points). · Attend equine events - sample products. · Educate store personnel, In-store customer demos
Requirements
Proven track record of growth, ability to develop new markets and increase distribution points
· Valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and reliable transportation.
· Able to spend up to 50% overnight travel in assigned territory.
· Proficient in using computers, CRM tools, spreadsheets, outlook, etc IMPORTANT: Ideal candidate would have some experience riding, owning, training horses or working in the industry. In addition, knowledge of the feed & tack stores in the region, equine events to attend, high level riders, and where the best farms are located.
