We are seeking a passionate and experienced Certified Therapeutic Riding Instructor (CTRI) to join our dynamic team as a Lead Instructor and assist us in developing future PATH professionals. The ideal candidate will have PATH CTRI certification (Master level preferred), at least 5 years of experience teaching therapeutic horsemanship lessons, a passion for teaching, mentoring and working with individuals with disabilities, and significant equestrian experience. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and conduct Therapeutic Riding lessons teaching individuals with physical, cognitive and emotional disabilities utilizing PATH methods and standards
- Develop individualized lesson plans tailored to the needs and goals of each participant
- Supervise, provide guidance and mentorship to individuals seeking to become CTRI
- Ensure the Therapeutic Program lessons meet or exceed the standards set by PATH and CHP
- Foster a positive and inclusive culture among our CTRI team, promoting teamwork and collaboration
Requirements
- PATH certification at the CTRI or Master Level
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Therapeutic Horsemanship; knowledge of therapeutic horsemanship standards and practices
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with ability to engage diverse audiences
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions in a fast-paced environment; strong team collaboration skills
- Demonstrated commitment to PATH safety standards and participant enjoyment in equestrian settings
- CPR and First Aid certification
