** Job purpose ** To oversee and manage daily operations at the New York Equestrian Center throughout the seasons and seasonal changes. Job entails hands-on management of the facilities and staff, and is expected to run each department/program in an efficient, profitable and customer-oriented manner. To keep all barn horses in good working condition and care for the needs of the boarder horses as obligated in boarder agreement. To maintain a level of professionalism with staff and clients at all times. To maintain business integrity and enforce all rules and regulations.

**Duties and responsibilities **Oversee and schedule daily operations at the facility including horse care, horse assignments, and staff scheduling. Safety protocols and compliance – staff, horses and clients. Daily opening and closing of the facility, as well as facility maintenance, upkeep and repairs. Ring maintenance, equipment maintenance and scheduling. Hay and shavings budget management. Horse care - to be evaluated weekly, assigned and maintained. Farrier oversight. Strict groom schedule oversight. Veterinary care as needed. Purchasing and selling of horses as well as lease program operations. Boarder relations. All program oversight. Lesson program instructor - oversight of the head instructor, and therapeutic riding program. Event management – including the trailering of horses to designated locations. Away horse show trainer. Office operation oversight. All financial payouts and payments Customer outreach and satisfaction. Expense management and control. Review monthly and annual numbers. Hiring and termination of staff – following correct HR guidelines Payroll accounting and submission. Weekly marketing and advertising including social media.
