Someone with CURRENT EXPERIENCE---able to start horses with ground training and move on to saddle training. Someone to build on their knowledge or to start a career working with horses. Someone able to take constructive critiquing of skills to learn and grow. Stipend of $250 monthly for someone who has real experience and displays that. We provide room, meals, snacks, laundry and bathroom supplies, wifi, transportation to town/city, trips to museums & lunch out. Barefoot Saddles & Long Lines/driving experience is a plus! We can accept 2 females.
Someone for 6 months to get into working routine. We maintain a 6-day work week with consistent barn hours. Availability of a lesson when trainer is here. If other volunteers here they will feed and do chores while your focus is horses. You may be asked to "fill in" if needed so need to learn the feeding routine or other chores. No abuse is tolerated, no abusive tack or spurs.
This is a LIVE-IN position. No pets or horses as we currently have dogs on property/in house and cats at the barn/house. Please have your profile filled out- be able to provide photos and/or videos working or riding horses. Must provide a "basic" resume' with references, be upfront and honest about your abilities
Someone who can work with the horses preparing for adoption. Teaching haltering, leading, picking up feet for farrier, grooming, bathing, lunging, getting used to tack, desensitizing, trailer loading and more.
Someone with initiative and organized, people skills, not afraid of physical work. Someone who can work independently-- no hand holding. No princesses or entitled attitudes - We don't do drama. Someone 21 or older, single. Proper barn attire MANDATORY. No alcohol/drugs allowed on property.
MUST be early riser to move on to grooming, tacking, exercising horses.
Requirements
Someone with current knowledge of feeding, lounging, starting ground work, desensitizing, exercise riding, training and handling horses. Someone willing to work with young horses, inexperienced horses. Must know how to clean tack and tack horses. Must use leg wraps/polos/boots when exercising horses. If you can teach driving/long lines that is a huge plus.

Dorm type room in house for females, full bath in hall--bathroom supplies, laundry supplies, meals, snacks, etc. Free Room/Board/Meals Free wi-fi. 5 miles from town, shopping.
Will pick up from airport. Can assist with transport to town. Must clean own dishes, cooking area. Will be on rotating bathroom cleaning schedule. You are required to vacuum/hoover your room and clean weekly.

Horse Feathers is an equine rehabilitation center. We are a 501c3 non profit. We are looking for someone to help here at the facility with intakes of horses who need help in rehab, training. Perfect position for someone willing to give horses a second chance and try them out for various jobs Eng/Wes/Dressage
