- Assist with the care of 30+ horses, including retirees, young horses, broodmares, and foals.
- Oversee daily feeding regimens, ensuring proper nutrition for each horse.
- Manage turnouts, ensuring the safety and well-being of all horses.
- Administer medications as needed and ensure proper health care.
- Perform general barn chores, including mucking stalls, cleaning, and maintaining the facility.
- Work directly with the public, handling and introducing them to the horses.
- Condition and exercise horses as needed.
- Assist in the development and training of young horses.
- Collaborate with farm owners and two all-around workers to complete daily tasks.
- Weekend and holiday work is required, with possible accommodations during these times.
Requirements
- Experience with horse care and barn management.
- Ability to handle and care for a variety of horses with different needs.
- Strong communication skills, especially in working with the public.

New Horizons Farm Youth Riding Center is located in North East, PA. We have a 100x150 indoor, 125x250 outdoor, indoor eurocizer, 21 stalls, trails and onsite living. We do a mix of youth riding, barrel horse training and foaling and training young horses.
