NOW HIRING Groom/Caretaker We hiring at Scottfield Stables. We are located at 71 Long Road Lenhartsville, PA 19534. We specialize in Morgans and Saddlebreds; we have three divisions; Scottfield Stables (training and showing), Scottfield Stud (we stand several national level stallions including 3x World Grand Champion EKL Shakedown and 3x World Champion Leonardo's Cry CH), and Scottfield Riding Academy (Lessons and camps). I am looking to add additional caretakers/grooms specifically to our Training operation. I do promote from within and other opportunities may present themselves down the road in one of our other divisions.

Ideal candidate-

Willing to work 5/6 days each week, 7:30 - 3:30.

Our daily routine- 7:30 atrt. Assist with feeding/watering. Begin cleaning stalls. Some days it will be 6-10 stalls, some will be 10-14 or so. Depends on how much help we have each day. If someone calls in, we all have to do more stalls.
After stalls, groom/tack/cool out until work training lists are done. Clean up. Divvy up evening feeding.

This is a stay at home position, but if you want to do some show grooming, that is an option.

Pay will reflect experience and strength of references. Compensation package includes housing and utilities. Apartment is best suited to an individual.

Ideally no pets or horses to come along.

Heavy smokers or drinkers need not apply.

Positives: Well handled horses. Educated, kind staff. Professional environment. Consistent reliable pay. Lots of routine.

Negatives: It is a daily grind. At the end of everyday, when we have checked off our one hundred point list, it all gets reset and we start all over the next day. You need to be planning to be on your feet 8 hours every day. We all hustle and work hard with good attitudes about it!
