Looking for a detail oriented, energetic individual to assist with day to day farm chores, animal care and property maintenance alongside owners who live on the property.

Sneaky Fox Farm is a small, private fox hunting barn located just outside of downtown Leesburg, Virginia. Our fur family includes 4 horses, 2 miniature donkeys, 2 goats, 2 miniature pigs and a flock of chickens.

Daily duties would include feeding all the animals, turn in/out, mucking stalls, checking water, and generally keeping the barn and property organized, clean and neat. We like to keep things maintained at a high standard so we appreciate people who share the same standards. Other duties could include getting 1-2 horses ready on hunting days (grooming, bathing and tacking up) taking care of the horses once they have returned to the barn, as well as occasionally meeting the vet or farrier when the owner cannot be present. Training will be provided on most things but you must have general experience in handling horses.

Riding or exercising horses is not required however should you be interested in riding and hunting we can discuss further.

Work week will be 5-6 days of your choosing (at least one weekend day) doing both AM and PM chores. This is not an 8 hour day by any means and most days you will have a large break between AM & PM which would leave you free to explore other interests. Total work should be less than 30 hours per week, but if you are fast AND efficient you may get done quicker.

On site we have a one bedroom, one bath apartment with a full kitchen above the barn. No additional cost for wifi, trash or utilities. The size is appropriate for 1 person (couples may be considered) One pet will be considered on a case by case basis. NO SMOKING and NO DRUGS will be allowed anywhere on the property.. Additionally we will consider providing a stipend for off site housing if our employee prefers a little distance between work and home or needs bigger accommodations than we currently have on site.
