Completed level 1 of equestrian Canada English rider program (2016)

Duties of Current Occupation

Worked as a stablehand at multiple barns (full time/part time) at big stables with more than 40 horses. Have been a coach for ages 6 and up, teaching private and group lessons. Trained off the track thoroughbreds in jumping.

Equine Work Experience

I have been riding for 12 years, all English style riding. I have mainly competed in showjumping but I have trained a bit of dressage and cross country. During competing I showed up to 1.10m in the Trillium circuit in Ontario. Currently I am riding at a small barn in my local town with a horse who is coming back from kissing spine and ulcers. In the past I have helped train off the track thoroughbreds into jumpers in Ontario, and I have also helped at a rescue rehabilitation centre in British Columbia. I have been working as a stablehand since I was 14 and have also helped in kids horse camp too. I started coaching in my grade 12 year with ages 6 and up.

Specialities

Stablehand work on a big farm of 40+ horses. Worked and competed at the same time on the angelstone circuit in Ontario.

Type of Ride Work

I have ridden all kinds of horses. My first lease was a Connemara pony and we showed in the 0.8m jumper classes back in 2016. I then moved to Ontario, started leasing this 15.3 mare and showed her in the 1m for the first year and then 1.10m in the second year. After that I was in grade 11 and was catch riding a lot because school started to count. I rode off the track thoroughbreds, lesson ponies that needed schooling, and part leased a jumper pony showing in the 0.9m.

Competition Details

I competed for 7 years in the showjumping classes up to the 1.10m level. I have done small dressage shows when I was younger. While working as a stablehand I also worked as a show groom too. I worked on the angelstone circuit and helped take care of 10 show horses with another groom.
