Equine Work Experience

My equine experience involves living and working fulltime on my family's training/breeding farm. I've been doing this my whole life while also going out into the real world and working at multiple other training/lesson barns. I also hold my C2 level in Canadian Pony Club as well as my Rider Level 6 in the Equestrian Canada Rider Levels. I have been riding full time in showjumping and dressage for over a decade, as well as competing locally, and nationally, on my personal horses and other clients and barn owners. I have riding experience on many breeds of horses from appaloosas to OTTB's to warmbloods. My knowledge stems from both theory and experience, from over 10+ years. I was born and raised around Pony Club and BHS (British Horse Society). I have been in lesson programs my whole life with multiple coaches and clinicians.

Specialities

My main specialties include: -Breaking/starting young or green horses -Certified farrier -Registered coach -Led and coached a showjumping team at competitions -Coached beginners and summer camps -Plenty of personal show experience so my turnout skills are fairly advanced -Advanced barn/stable maintenance, upkeep and turnout skills and experience

Type of Ride Work

I have briefly been and tried a lot of different disciplines, from endurance riding to cattle sorting. However, my skill and passion lies in showjumping and dressage with a lot of experience in the hunter world too.

Competition Details

I have been competing both locally and nationally for 5+ years, working my way up through the levels. I have had many opportunities to compete all over Canada through Canadian Pony Club, on my region's team, in both dressage and showjumping, riding against some of the best riders in Canada of my age group and also competing locally, for my own gains. I have represented my zone twice in the BC Summer Games, in 2022 and 2024 as both, a showjumper and again as an assistant coach.
