Equine Work Experience
I have never really worked in an equestrian facility, I have always been an athlete but in the facility I went to I was taught the main rules of horse riding, taking care of your animal and being attentive to its health. during the races we didn't have a groom but we took care of everything and our own horse ourselves. (starting from water and hay, to preparing the horse before a race, cleaning the box, shearing and cutting the mane and many other things.) Very often in my center we took care of restoring the field fences, repainting the barriers and obstacles, I'm skipping many of the things we took care of. (we students restored, furnished and repainted the clubhouse in the center.) In the riding stables, every time new horses arrived, we were the students who trained them, very often wild ones arrived and our instructor, who was always present, made us work with those horses, to train them and to improve ourselves.
Specialities
I have worked with stallions, mares, green horses and colts, especially in training and flat work. during my years as a rider we worked a lot on team spirit and helping each other, a mental coach followed us when we were competing to learn how to better manage stress. My parents own a small riding school and I take care of the maintenance (in which I am competent) myself, keeping the fields clean, the boxes and the horses always under control and the saddlery in order ecc...
Type of Ride Work
I worked with countless wild horses, not even being able to afford a ready-made horse, I had to learn from the age of 13, riding young horses, stallions, hot horses, in short, of all types. Going so far as to bring a traumatized pony with serious confidence issues to the Italian pony games championships, placing us on the podium above all thanks to the team. I trained a stallion with aggressive behavior who is now in the north working with children. i trained more type of horse.
Competition Details
I have participated in countless competitions of different types, tackling every discipline, obviously at a basic level, mainly in ponygames and show jumping (stopping in the 100/105 categories due to my pony not being able to overcome these heights.) and how As I have already explained before, only we athletes took care of our horse, we slept in a tent so we could be at the competition site at 6 in the morning to take care of hay, water and training, we didn't have a groom.
