Duties of Current Occupation
Managing staff. Organising and delegating tasks. Building relationships with our farmers. I have to be quick on my feet when it comes to problem-solving and thinking of the best solution/outcome for our customers.
Equine Work Experience
I have grown up with horses (15 years), so it is fair to say I am a confident rider. It may not be in the big show ring or under the spotlight like many. However, I am a passionate, hard-working and committed rider who has a burning goal to excel and absorb as much as I can given the opportunity to do so. I currently own an Andalusian gelding which I bred and broke in myself, along with a thoroughbred gelding who I have been introducing to his new Sporthorse life. We have been progressing at an excellent pace. I have the right attitude to learn and be the best that I can under professional guidance. I am dedicated and a well-rounded individual.
Specialities
I have different experiences leading people. During high school, I was a prefect (school leader). Prefects should act as the role model for all the students in the School. I would consider myself a fragment of perfectionism. When I set myself a task, I make it a priority to achieve high standards. If I am unsure, I will seek out guidance so I know that the task I am carrying out can be executed to the best standard.
Type of Ride Work
I have ridden a diverse variety of horses over the years. From young green horses to schoolmasters; loving each experience I gained from this. I started my current gelding (he is now 9) which was a rewarding experience. I have started a few ponies over the years and worked with problem horses also. I aim to spend a lot of my time doing flat work to build a balance foundation that leads into jumping.
Competition Details
I have competition experience at a lower level. I worked alongside a dressage rider for a couple of months while I was at university. Being a helping hand - tacking up horses, feeding out, covering, etc.
