- I’m Aurora, I’m 20 years old this year (2004) and currently working at a horse center in Norway. I’m an apprentice, and after my 1,5 year apprenticeship, I will have my exam and hopefully recieve a certificate in equestrian trades!
Qualifications
When I’m done working here, I will hopefully get my degree certificate in horses. I’ve completed a HSE course
Duties of Current Occupation
I’ve been working several times at stables as work placement, and have been working as an apprentice at Blixland since august 2023. I’m doing primarily stable work, riding some horses or lunge/train them after injuries
Equine Work Experience
I rode for the first time when I was about 8, and I started riding weekly when I was 12. I’ve had a lease horse for a little over a year, and after I started working at Blixland, I’ve been having weekly showjumping lessons
Specialities
I have some experience with foals and youngsters, but would like to gain more experience! I haven’t worked as a leader, but I’ve been responsible for others having work placement here
Type of Ride Work
Mostly flatwork and hacking. But for the last year I’ve been jumping the riding school horses every week and doing some dressage as well
