Duties of Current Occupation
Yard manager of a farm of 30+ horses. I was in charge of feeding, basic medical of horses, ordering of roughage, concentrate, shavings and everything needed around the farm, built show jumping courses, managed a team of 8 grooms, rode multiple horses.
Equine Work Experience
I have been riding for 10 years. Have owned and schooled multiple horses. Have showjumped up to 1,20m. Competed up to elementary dressage. Competed up to open showing. Competed to 95cm eventing. Managed a farm of 30+ horses for a year.
Specialities
I have lead a farm of over 30 horses and clients and 8 grooms. Able to prep horses for dressage, jumping, showing and eventing competitions. My previous horse was a stallion. Have not worked with foals but I am very patient with horses and a very fast learner.
Type of Ride Work
I have always been a show jumper at heart. My junior horse was phenomenal at dressage and he took me up to elementary level. I have competed up to 95cm eventing with my OTTB, would've gone higher but unfortunately due to health issues he was put down. I am a kind and patient rider and able to work with many different kinds of ride, whether the horse be lazy, hot, anxious. I am able to adjust my seat to suit the horse.
Competition Details
I have been competing in competitions for the past 9 years in showjumping, dressage, equitation, showing and eventing. I have not worked in a competition yard but the yard I was stabled at for 8 out of the 10 years I have been riding was a highly competitive yard. My coach was the yard manager and I spent every spare moment I had when I wasn't at school, learning the ins and outs of a competition yard. My coach always made sure I was deeply involved with absolutely everything horse related.
