Duties of Current Occupation
Yard manager and sole care of 22 horses inc colts etcExercising, and caring for a range of horses from riding school horses to show competition horses/stallions/youngstock/untouched horses. I've also taught adults and children to ride from 2010-2015.
Equine Work Experience
- Over 10+ years experience in the industry.
- Breaking and producing a variety of types.
- Day to day care of up to 22 horses at a time.
- Caring for a variety of horses show horses/hunters/stud/driving/riding school/youngstock/dressage
- Produced my own ex racehorse from nothing to placing with 75% Novice Tests, competing BN and RoR.
- Worked on therapy yards using High Speed and Aqua Treadmills for rehab purposes.
- Managing a livery yard of 22 horses consisting of both livery client horses, as well as the yard owners private drive& trade horses.
Specialities
Managing a yard of livery clients as well show/driving horses. Working with adults and children of all riding abilities. Working with showing stallions and young stock, as well as broodmares and foals. Bringing on youngsters and project horses. Working as part of a team and in a sole charge position.
Type of Ride Work
Brought on many young horses produced for showing and eventing prospects. Have been riding for over 15 years, with experience from breaking in youngsters to competing 1m unaffiliated jumping and Elementary dressage. Produced and ridden horses beyond this level, however did not have the chance to compete at that level. Used to exercising and going out on fit hunters.
