As the only groom working for an event yard, I have to be self-motivated looking after all 6 of their event horses. I have been exercising the horses every day, which also includes taking them on the gallops. This is in addition to grooming, poo picking, feeding, ordering, mucking out.

I started as a weekend volunteer working on the riding school whilst still at school. In 2021 I was offered a permanent paid weekend role, covering all aspects of yard duties, Once I had finished at Plumpton College. I then went full time on the yard working with the yard team. During the school holidays I teach the stable management for the pony camps. Day-to-Day tasks included Catching in, Grooming, Tacking up, Lesson change overs, poo picking, yard sweeping, tack cleaning
