Equine Work Experience

I have been riding for over 25 years and have been an equine professional for almost 10 of those years. I am well versed in both horse training and instructing riding lesson programs, with an emphasis on exceptional horsemanship, correct equine biomechanics, and balanced riding. I am capable of everything from colt starting, restarting OTTBs for their new careers, advancing green mounts to the show ring and beyond. I am also capable of working with tougher case horses and correcting behavioral issues or assisting them in moving past trauma responses. My background from early years is based in hunter/jumpers/equitation but I am well versed in classical dressage up to 3rd level, western dressage, liberty work, and more. I am educated and proficient in equine husbandry, knowledge of vitals, first aid and emergency response, wrapping, wound dressing, medication distribution, IM injections, and lameness/illness evaluation.

Specialities

Dedicated Equine Professional committed to exceptional horsemanship and continuing education within the industry. My areas of expertise include Hunters, Jumpers, Equitation, and Dressage. I very much enjoy finding second careers for OTTBs, prioritizing proper equine biomechanics, soundness and comfort of the horse, designing specialized training and conditioning programs, lesson planning, customer service, team leadership, event coordination, stallion handling and more.

Type of Ride Work

I have ridden and am comfortable with riding many different types of horses. From Warmbloods to OTTBs to AQHA to Mustangs. Experience with USDF dressage training up to third level, jumping up to 1.35m, Hunters, Western Dressage, Trail riding and courses, Natural Horsemanship and Liberty work.
