Life long riding and equine experience and always seeking to continue learning. I am looking for a unique opportunity. I am also an equine artist and ideally would love to find a part time caretaking position that would still allow me time to work on art. Or part time instructor/coach work with a private farm who would like to work on relationship foundation with their horse(s). I am open to relocating for the right opportunity. Just putting feelers to see what's out there.

I have worked as a riding and horsemanship instructor, wrangler, and general ranch/barn hand. I have also been a caretaker on private farms, and currently offer private horsemanship instruction as an independent contractor.

I started taking riding lessons at the age of 5 and have trained under multiple instructors. I was on the collegiate team for my freshman and sophomore years of college. I have extensive barn work history encompassing the full spectrum of daily barn chores and horse care, have driven draft teams giving carriage tours, have worked as an exercise rider, trail guide, wrangler, and riding and horsemanship instructor. I have studied under established instructors from the eventing world as well as a year studying under a trainer in the natural horsemanship realm. Since then, my personal studies have lead in the direction of attunement and relationship based horsemanship.

I specialize in offering a balanced mind, body, spirit approach to horsemanship that takes into account energetic, psychological, and physiological factors of the equine and human dynamic. I am strongly influenced by Warwick Schiller, and Lockie Phillips, as well as Buck Brannaman, and Sally Swift. I have experience in both Enlgish and Western disciplines, however the instruction I offer is typically on a very foundational level which can then be applied in any direction.

My foundation is in hunt seat, however my riding knowledge and abilities allow me to be versatile in both english and western disciplines. I maintain consistent principles of horsemanship regardless of the riding style I am working in and, focus on kind and clear communication between horse and handler/rider.
