Qualifications

B.S. Equine Management-- focused studies on barn management practices and marketing. Took coursework in facility management, equine science, dressage, western, jumping, trails, pedagogy and equine videography. Also completed marketing internship at barn in Colorado, and barn management practicum at Houghton University.

Duties of Current Occupation

Experience in assistant management roles, sole charge role/primary caretaker role and riding/teaching roles. Teaching experience with dressage through second level, some over fences and western.

Equine Work Experience

Bachelor's of Science in Equine Management and Communication, worked hands on with horses in camp, backyard and professional environments for over 11 years. Have held both administrative positions/ office positions as well as working student, assistant manager, riding instructor and assistant trainer roles

Type of Ride Work

I have ridden young horses, green horses and schoolmasters. Presently schooling 3rd level dressage working toward USDF Bronze medal. Jumping experience up to 2'3", but much more into flatwork and groundwork. Experience in leading trails as well. Have driven a few times, and would be interested in learning more about driving.

Competition Details

Have competed in western, dressage and hunter/jumpers at schooling shows. Also competed first and second level dressage at USEF/USDF recognized dressage shows. Have helped in planning, organizing and putting on both schooling shows and recognized events, and have worked in show office of shows and fairs, as well as freelance dressage grooming in occasion.
