Equine Work Experience
I have worked for Professionals and Amateurs in the last decade in Wellington. I worked for a sales barn for my first 2 seasons in Wellington. Moving on to work for an Amateur as her sole charge groom for 4 years. I then went to work for others for seasonal work while continuing the development of my own breeding program.
Specialities
I have filled in free time working with Wellgrove Equine Quarantine and Repro, as a vet tech and assistant in the day to day. Im familiar with the process and assistance with insemination, lavaging, and embryo flushing as well as the 2 week CEM process of cultures and cleaning of mares. I’m experienced with handling stallions fresh from import for collection and the month long CEM Quarantine process which includes live cover of the test mares. I have prepped and handled stallions for collection
Type of Ride Work
The last horses I rode were a string of 2-3 year olds. When I was with the amateur for 4 years I was fortunate to start 3 of her imported 2 year olds. From learning to pick up feet to wearing tack for the first time. Teaching them to lunge and walk on the treadmill. I was also the one to give them their first rides. I was fortunate to do the same with a young mare I purchased before she became a broodmare. In my earlier years I schooled the GP in Dressage and schooled meter 45 in the jumpers
Competition Details
I have traveled to shows all around Europe and the east coast of the USA. From Bromont Quebec, to Vermont Summer festival, Fieldstone in Massachusetts, Saugerties and Lake Placid in NY, to internationals at Ocala WEC and Wellington WEF and Global. I’ve been to European Championships in Hagen Germany as well as the Equestrian Festival at Aachen. World Games at Herning Denmark, and across the bridge to Falsterbo in Sweden along with local competitions. From Ermelo to Valkenswaard in NL.
