Equine Work Experience
At my past job in New Jersey, I ensured the boarded, lesson, and sale barn and stalls were cleaned with fresh water and hay. Fed horses and turned them in and out. Led and assisted both thirty minute and one hour trail rides consisting of groups of two to six people. Exercised, groomed, and worked with off the track thoroughbreds for a rehoming program. As well as photographed them for social media. Worked with all ages and all types of horses on the farm in all aspects of their care. Assisted in game shows and barrel racing events at the farm, as well as participated. Became proficient in the use of farm implements to include, tractors, zero turn and riding lawn mowers, and weed whackers. Helped repair fence boards and insured that horses were kept in safe and sanitary enclosures.
Specialities
I am a hardworking and caring person. I am equally able to complete tasks alone or as part of a team. I'm a fast and willing learner that thrives on detail. I want to earn trust and the reputation that I will always finish what I start and do what I say I'm going to do. I want to make a difference to the people and animals that I work with. You may encounter applicants with more experience than me, but this just means I will learn the way you want me to learn. I look forward to that.
Type of Ride Work
I have been riding for over ten years. I can ride both english and western, but mainly ride western. I compete in barrel racing and game show competitions. I have ridden all types of horses, young and old. I currently own an off the track thoroughbred that is my main riding horse, as well as an Arabian and a quarterhorse.
Competition Details
I have competed in barrel racing, game shows, jumping, and team penning.
