I am a member of the University of Kansas Equestrian team, and we do group learning every month to pick up new skills that aren't related to riding.

Law Clerk: 1 year, organizing paperwork, scheduling appointments, and talking to clients Barista: 1.5 years, prepared espresso drinks and sold pastries Waitress: 3 years, served customers, prepared drinks, and managed a small team

I grew up riding western, and I've always loved being around horses. When I was very young, I competed in showmanship classes with my father, then I progressed to eventually compete in barrel racing and pole bending until I was 13. I began training at a Hunter Jumper barn here in Kansas at the beginning of this year. I joined the University of Kansas Equestrian Team in August, and I just competed in my first show in October. I competed on the flat and over cross rails. I will continue learning and competing through April of 2025, as I finish my master's degree.

I have ridden many kinds of horses, including Shetland ponies, quarter horses, Morgans, paints, and one beautiful Hanoverian. Currently, I rotate between a quarter horse and a pony, while I am building my foundation in flatwork and hunter jumping. Currently, the highest that I have jumped is 2'3" (0.7m).

I spent many years as a child and young teen competing in rodeos, and I have been traveling with the KU equestrian team to learn, compete, and function as groom support.
