I am currently an Animal Science major studying at the University of Massachusetts Amherst. I have taken multiple classes in general animal science/management which include hands-on labs and barn chore/lamb watch hours at the campus livestock barn working with sheep and goats as well as traveling to nearby locations such as dairy farms and fish hatcheries. I also competed in UMass' Bay State Livestock Classic showing horses in hand, which counted as a class for credits toward my major.

I have been around horses since I was 4 years old (15 years) and have experience with most of the aspects of their basic handling and care - catching, leading, grooming and bathing, tacking up/untacking, riding, cleaning stalls and fields, cleaning tack, feeding and watering

I have taken English riding lessons for 15 years, flat and jumping. I have ridden horses and ponies of various sizes, temperaments, and breeds. I have experience with horses as young as 4 and as old as late 20's, from green to very experienced, calm and bombproof to excited or nervous. I currently lease a very flighty 11 year old quarter horse mare who I flat hack and jump (up to 2'6). I have a lot of experience with thoroughbreds as my current lesson barn runs an OTTB rescue.

I have competed in multiple CHSA show series in both equitation flat and jumping.
