Equine Work Experience
Spur began working with horses at the Bronx Equestrian Center in high school. They went on to study Equestrian Studies with a focus in Equine Business Management and Equine Nutrition at Alfred University. During school Spur competed in varsity western riding and was top of their class in driving. They were scouted for a position as a barn manager and tour guide at Mackinac Island because of their perfect score on the national carriage program's final exam. At Mackinac Island their duties included managing a team of 24 horses and 16 drivers, administering medicine and general harness repair.
Liese grew up in rural eastern Oregon and began riding horses at a young age. Liese received some informal education in western riding, trail riding, cattle driving and general horse grooming, feeding and care. They have maintained their comfortably with horses and have surveyed fence line for their Uncle's ranch on horseback. Since then Liese rides for pleasure when the opportunity arises.
