Matthew C. Smith Racing is a multiple Group 1 winning stable based at Warwick Farm, Sydney. We are currently seeking an assistant foreperson to join our winning team. The successful candidate will be a highly motivated individual looking to take the next step in their career. The ideal candidate will possess previous experience in a thoroughbred racing stable, non-thoroughbred disciplines (harness racing, showjumping etc.) are also encouraged to apply, and have the following attributes:

Excellent horse handling skills Experienced in all aspects of horse care and husbandry Ability to work as part of a dedicated team Ability to follow instructions Leadership qualities required to manage staff and day-to-day requirements in a fast-paced environment A positive and friendly manner Reliability and punctuality A thirst for racing knowledge and a desire to learn On the job training can be provided for suitable applicants with less experience.
