I am a keen aspiring groom who has been working with horses on a voluntary basis, and am now looking for a full or part-time opportunity to progress my career and gain more experience. I am confident around horses and have been developing essential skills through volunteering at a livery yard and with a rescue. Ideally, I would be looking for a role in the Basingstoke area while I'm learning to drive, but happy to consider a live-in position in the wider Hampshire region or further afield.
My name is Daisie, I am 18 years old and have owned horses for the past 5 years. I have previously worked on an international showjumping yard and am keen to pursue my next job. I am open to any discipline and able to adapt to every yards standards and needs.
currently working in RDA but wanting to break into the eventing industry. hard working, empathetic and handy with a tool.pretty brave rider always wanting to progress as far as possible, can be flexible with hours/days working.
At three out of the five equestrian facilities I have been a part of, I have had the privilege of training horses and ponies in exchange for lessons and/or board of a horse. I started training horses at age 12 when I started participating in Pony Club, and even after my UPC days I continued to train horses simply because I love it so much! I started riding at age 8 and started competing at age 11, so one could say I have been brought up with horses.
I currently work part time for a restaurant, but I strongly desire to begin my career in the equine field. I have experience in both the food and retail industries, which means my people and teamwork skills are at an all time high!
I have had a passion for horses since the day I was born. I have 11 years of hunter/jumper training with five of those years being competitive, as well as two years of Pony Club experience. I have about four years of cross country training thrown in there as well. I have both partially leased and owned horses. I have worked as a summer camp counselor for two years, and recently I began an internship at a local equestrian center as a part time barn assistant.
I have a soft spot for the horses who have come from difficult situations and need some TLC and proper training to rise to their full potential. My long-term goal is to one day own a facility of my own that adopts abused and/or neglected horses and ponies and rehabilitates them. I have some experience in training horses like these, but not as much as I would like. I am hoping any opportunity that comes out of this wonderful website will help me in this venture!
I was trained and brought up riding the English discipline. This includes mostly hunter/jumper training, along with about three years of dressage and cross-country training. I have also led trail rides with up to 10 members, served as a summer camp counselor for young riders, and through my internship mentioned above, I have educated all ages of riders on how to safely retrieve, groom, tack up, and lead their horses.
I started competing at age 11 at local shows, earning multiple first place ribbons with a handful of reserve champion and champion titles in short stirrup, long stirrup, and 2'6-2'9 classes. I have very limited experience at rated shows (competed once at a "C" rated show) as my parents could not afford the entry and trailer fees.
