Gentle Giants Draft Horse Rescue is one of the largest equine rescue facilities in the US, and we are at the forefront of the national fight to end horse slaughter. Spanning over 340 acres, we maintain over 180 draft horses in residence at any given time. Gentle Giants offers the perfect opportunity for individuals interested in advanced medical cases and unique rehabilitative care. Conditions commonly addressed are starvation, chronic neglect, hoof neglect, canker, metabolic disorders, and a multitude of disease processes. Gentle Giants also provides a mobile Technical Large Animal Rescue service, and will provide training and certification in large animal rescue response to interested staff.
