Ballykenly Stud are looking for a foaling person for the coming 2025 foaling season. As we are one of the main foaling units in the South of Ireland, one of the jobs is keeping a close watch on mares prior to foaling and after. We require someone who has experience foaling. You must have the ability to work on your own and also know when assistance is required. This is for part of the week with days included. This position suit someone with some experience but wants to expand their knowledge. For the last number of years we have increased our numbers, averaging 150 every year. Last year we foaled 175. This is only for the 2025 foaling season, but if everyone gets on we bring the same people back every year.
Requirements
Good English is essential. You will be expected to keep the accommodation tidy, wash your own clothes, and do some cooking for yourself.
