Are you a fun and professional individual with a passion for horses?? Look no further! Pony Tales Stables is currently seeking a Horse Riding Instructor and Yard Assistant to join our team located in the picturesque countryside of Killarney (just ten minutes away from Killarney town) in the South West region of Ireland.
As a Horse Riding Instructor, you will have the opportunity to share your passion for horses with riders of all ages and skill levels. You will be responsible for providing engaging and educational riding lessons, both in groups and in private lessons including those with additional challenges and needs in our therapeutic riding lessons. Your expertise will help our riders develop their skills and build a strong connection with their equine partners.
In addition to teaching, you will also be assisting with all general yard duties. This will involve general stable duties such as feeding, mucking out, grooming, and ensuring the overall well-being of our horses. Your attention to detail and dedication to maintaining a clean and safe environment will be crucial in providing the best care for our Horses.
At Pony Tales Stables, we value professionalism and a positive attitude. We are looking for someone who can bring a sense of fun and enthusiasm to their work, creating a welcoming and enjoyable experience for our riders. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential, as you will be interacting with both riders and their families on a daily basis. Working as a team or as an individual is important.
Previous experience as a horse riding instructor and familiarity with stable management are highly desirable. However, we also welcome applications from individuals who are passionate about horses and eager to learn and grow in this role. All Applicants must have EU or British passport, or hold a valid work permit.
Requirements
Prior to starting work with us, it is important that you undergo Garda vetting. We are seeking individuals who are confident and capable of working both independently and as part of a team. It is essential that you possess confidence, an outgoing personality, and a fun-loving nature, while also being able to handle pressure effectively.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to contribute to our therapeutic riding program, which supports individuals with additional needs and challenges. Additionally, you will be responsible for teaching both children and adults of various ages and abilities. We are not simply looking for someone who wants a job, but rather someone who desires to be an integral part of our enjoyable team.

A great opportunity to learn and develop knowledge and experience around horses while working as part of a friendly team in a busy but happy environment. We will pay for BHS exams for right candidate and assist with training. Wages are paid weekly into your bank account. We also provide holiday pay (in accordance with employment rules). You will be given branded staff clothing of jackets, hoodies and tee-shirts. You will be given a paid months trial and then if successful you may be offered a contract for 12 months.
