Mount View Sport Horses is a small breeding/training facility located in the foothills overlooking the city of Tauranga and harbour. Tauranga is 2 hours south of Auckland on the east coast of the North Island. We have been breeding European Warmbloods out of imported mares for over 20yrs and have a very good reputation for breeding top level jumpers and horses with good characters. Our horses have been successfully competed within New Zealand and internationally. We're looking for a rider to join our team to take on the role of training our young horses aged 3-6yo. This rider must be experienced in the training of young horses and enjoy this sort of work.
Requirements
We require references and details of experience to accompany the application. Capable of working/training horses without supervision. A good level of flatwork and knowledge of basic training to develop young horses in flatwork and jumping. MUST have a minimum of three years experience training young horses and been in the horse industry. A positive and enthusiastic attitude. Be able to work well with others and take instruction. Good organisational skills.

Equestrian Employer Details
Set in the foothills overlooking Tauranga and Mount Maunganui and the harbour. The farm consists of three separate blocks of land totalling 300 acres. Part of the farm is a Kiwifruit Orchard and the rest is grazing land for goats,cattle and the fifty horses that are part of the business. We breed 6 to 10 foals a year and the young horses are broken in and trained on the grounds.We also have three Warmblood Stallions ( two imported from Europe) Facilities: Large outdoor arena, lungeing arena,a large barn housing 8 stables and 4 outdoor covered yards. A stallion stable block consisting of three stables. The horses are worked around the orchards and on the farm, as well as on the outdoor arena. There is a house for staff and a vehicle can be arranged for staff to use as required. There is a Tennis Court and Swimming Pool available for their use also.
