Donnington Grove Veterinary Group are a busy Equine Hospital based in Newbury Berkshire.

We are currently looking to employ an additional Equine Care Assistant to our current team of 5. The Equine Care Assistants work closely with the Vets holding horses for procedures, maintaining cleanliness and stock in the examination rooms, and also assisting with the care of the horses on the yard alongside the Yard Assistants.

Assisting the Yard Assistant team with the daily care of the care of the horses to include mucking out, yard maintenance, admitting and discharging of horses is also included in this role.

The candidate should have experience in handling a variety of horses including thoroughbreds.

The working hours are 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with 1 hour for lunch and working weekends and Bank Holidays on a rota. Benefits to include 5.6 weeks holiday per year (to include bank holidays), Pension, Health Cash Plan and Staff Discount.
