Core member of our polo yard, working as a group and managing 24 horses between 3 people, daily polo pony care, exercising ponies on the exercise track, Schooling horses, grooming and warming them up at games, Opportunity to develop additional skills such as working with younger horses and aiding in their training program. We try to keep the horses out as much as possible but this depends on the weather. Polo is a lot of fun but also hard work, Opportunity to work overseas after September

Equestrian Employer Details
We are a busy polo/livery yard near Cirencester We train young horses, mainly thoroughbred's for polo. We currently have 24 horses of various ages and levels of training, from 3yr olds to 15yrs , We train the younger horses at the yard where we teach them the basics in farm chukkas, then as they progress we take them up to play at one of the local clubs. We travel to local clubs on week days and play tournaments every weekend Training includes lots of different things using our facilities : Hacking them out on farm tracks, road work, trails through the woods, lunging, long reigning, small pole work (jumping and trotting poles) walker work, riding round the 400m fibre exercise track, riding them in the schooling fields and chukkas on our 3/4 size pitch. Pending your riding level, opportunity to improve young horse skills, stick & balling, to play farm Chukka’s, club Chukka’s and possibly tournaments dependant on previous experience, ability and aptitude whilst working.
