Stud groom position at the Berkeley Hunt kennels, South Gloucestershire, has come available. The applicant must be experienced in hunt service, or have an understanding of it. We have approx 8 hunt horses, who have already started main season hunting, so are fit, but now need to be maintained and cared for for the rest of the hunt season. High standards of turnnout required, a good understanding of basic veterinary care, an HGV licence (or be prepared to take it), and work well as a team. There is extra help with mucking out and exercising, and on trail hunting days. We are in a beautiful part of the world. The Berkeley Hunt is one of the oldest in the country, and the stables at the kennels are uniquely sited next to Berkeley castle. The hunt is very sociable and friendly. Accomodation can be made available. Applicant would idealy start in the New Year. Excellent package.
