We run a really friendly, relaxed & professional yard and are looking for an experienced groom to join our small team of 5 grooms. This is a live in position. We provide individual accommodation with all bills included. We have superb 5 star equestrian facilities. The applicant must be friendly, approachable, adaptable, be confident handling large competition horses and happy to work well in a team. We pride ourselves on the amazing, friendly environment that we have created for both humans and horses. We have 30 horses ranging from our beautiful little ponies through to large warmbloods, plus friends/clients keep their horses with us who are from various different disciplines. We have a fantastic group of staff, clients and horses which creates a fun, friendly & professional atmosphere. Day to day duties will include general yard duties - mucking out, keeping the yard organised and tidy, poo picking, grooming the horses, late night checks, plus some riding (but not essential) We are looking for someone who has a good work ethic, works well within a team, is fun yet professional and has high standards of care, the horses needs must be top priority. We offer a 5 day week, to include regular weekend days off. Pension, 28 days holiday and a good wage.
Requirements
A knowledge of horsemanship is desirable but not essential. There is some riding available if interested, but again this is not essential.

We are a large establishment of around 180 acres. The indoor school is at the centre of the equestrian complex with the internal stables surrounding the school. The land is made up from around 80 acres of grazing and 100 acres of woodland containing a mile and a half of all weather gallops. The yard is very well laid out with indoor stables, solariums, vita floor plates, hot & cold wash down bays, heated tack rooms,a staff kitchen & easy access to the muck heaps, horse walker and outdoor arena. The grooms accommodation is directly to the side of the equestrian complex, but still offering privacy in individual self contained flats. We own 10 horses ranging from our beautiful ponies to a shire horse up to competition horses. We have a small amount of friends who keep their horses here, who we offer a high end package to ensure all of their needs are met. In total there are 20 horses that our team look after.
