We are looking for a reliable, hardworking, friendly, animal loving team player to join our small team on either a full or part time basis on a professional dressage training and breeding yard expecting 33 foals born this season.

We require someone who takes pride in their work and has very high standards of animal care. Ideally this is a live in role to assist with foaling which may be during the night on a rota basis, as well as the routine daily wellbeing and handling of mares, foals and youngsters. Equine first aid experience and confidence handling warmblood youngsters is essential. Qualified AI technician would be preferable. This is a great opportunity to work within a close knit in-house team of industry leading farriers, vets, physios and other specialists.

The role requires previous commercial equine stud or equine nursing experience, and an individual to enjoy working in a busy fast paced environment with an attitude of continual progress and personal development, with high standards and a love for horses.This is a challenging, fun & rewarding role seeing all the foals being born and being a key part in their start in life and early years of development and training prior to joining their riders or being sold to exciting new homes all over the world. We offer regular training & encourage continual development so a curious and developing attitude is essential to fit the team.

Further training available for the right candidate. Valid UK work visa is needed and cannot be organised by the company. Optional excellent private modern accommodation available on-site, Competitive salary, pension, 28 days holiday. Unfortunately, no horses or pets. Non smoker preferred. Set in 200 acres of beautiful North Yorkshire countryside Mount St John and our adjoining 2 farms is where we keep around 150 horses. We specialise in breeding top dressage foals which are sold worldwide and also retain and train some youngsters every year, which are competed through the levels up to International GP dressage. We focus on the mares side and don't have any stallions on site.
