We need another motivated person to help out on our yard. Full range of stable duties including riding (if desired). We also devote considerable time to backing and bringing on our own home bred horses. This means that we compete quite a few of them and competent riders are encouraged to participate in this. We need one full or part time (significant hours required) staff member to work with our friendly team. Our current part time groom (who was almost full time) is leaving after years, to move out of the area and recommends this yard to anyone who wants a varied and interesting job. We do require absolute reliability so commitment is essential - please do not apply if you are not a hard worker and not prepared to go the extra mile for the horses. We can assist with preparation for Equestrian exams although this is not a trainee post and any assistance given will be outside of normal working hours. We do not believe in misleading our staff and are upfront about arrangements here - our grooms are employees and have a proper contract of employment, holiday pay, and a pension if desired. Pay rate quoted is per hour ranging from the 18yo starter rate to the 23yo+ rate - £7.50 - £12.50. All subject to negotiation within this range. Look us up on FB - Godington Stud, or our website to see our competition and show record. We do mainly Horse Trials (up to 4 Star) but a fair amount of dressage and showjumping - mainly in the Winter.

Requirements

We have no particular requirements other than to hire a reliable, animal minded person who has the basic stable management skills. Anything else is a bonus. Our staff need to be drivers with their own car or mode of transport - or a bicycle if living close. Job can be 4,5 or 6 days a week full or part time with hours to suit around morning stables (one of our part timers worked around school hours). We are also permanently on the lookout for weekend staff
