We are looking for a horse-centred coach and Equine Facilitated Learning Practitioner to join our team full-time (30 hours +)
The role involves facilitating therapeutic horsemanship sessions, including groundwork, liberty and riding, in addition to horse-centred coaching. The role also involves assisting with our alternative education programme. Experience of working with disadvantaged children and young people would be desirable.
We are looking for someone who is passionate about working with children and horses and helping others to develop new skills, and learn through horsemanship. We are looking for a positive, highly motivated individual with strong interpersonal skills who is happy to work alone and as part of a team. A focus on working in partnership with the horse is essential. Must be happy managing groups of children and working with beginners and lead-rein participants. Please note that most of our participants are beginners, novice riders or therapeutic clients and this is not a sports focused role.
The role is a permanent contracted position with holiday pay, sick pay and a pension scheme available. We provide uniform and an employee assistance scheme. Full training will be provided however we are looking for someone with coaching experience / qualifications, or working towards their coaching qualifications. An EFL or EAL qualification would also be an advantage, however role will involve training to level 3 in Equine Assisted Services for those without a qualification in this area. This role requires an enhanced DBS check and safeguarding training to safeguarding officer level will be provided.
Please note that this role does also involve an element of horse care and training participants in horse care.
