We are looking to recruit a Part-Time Coach for our inclusive Equestrian Centre. The role involves coaching riding for community riding / horsemanship programmes, leading Pony Club sessions and horse care in addition to coaching our riding school clients. Experience of working with disadvantaged / neurodiverse young people and an interest in therapeutic horsemanship would be an advantage, but is not essential as full training will be given.
The focus of our riding sessions is to provide positive and progressive riding skills to beginner / novice riders, including, groundwork, horse care and equine behaviour as part of our riding and Pony Club sessions. We are looking for an applicant who is passionate about good horsemanship, a good communicator and someone who wants to help others to learn new horsemanship skills in a positive environment, with the horse's welfare and client needs in mind.
We are looking for a creative and pro-active coach with good ideas and lots of enerygy to help us grow the business. We are a small team so we are ideally looking for someone who isn’t afraid to muck in, occasionally and get a horse out of the field if necessary!
The instructor role includes weekends and weekday hours, coaching horsemanship and riding sessions, horse care, schooling horses and leading off road trail rides. Applicants will ideally have BHS stage 3/ AI or level 2 UKCC qualification, or be working towards this. Please note: this role involves working after school and weekends. Salary depending on experience and qualifications.
