Are you Experienced in Repair Carpentry/Painting Work and Landscape Maintenance?
We are looking for an individual who can do landscape maintenance as well as minor repairs/ carpentry/painting work around the farm, and pinch hit with ordinary chores in the horse barn with the rest of the staff. Housing available.
The successful candidate will be:
- Physically strong
- Mechanically savvy
- Is familiar with the use and maintenance of farm equipment such as tractors, brush hogs, log splitters, york rakes, lime spreaders, etc
- Is able to erect and mend wooden and wire fence,
- Able to plant plants; prune fruit trees; and use grass trimmers, hedge shears, etc.
- Can do minor carpentry repairs

We are a CT State Horse Farm of Environmental excellence with the following pristine facilities - 2 barns with 12 insulated rubber-matted stalls, Staff and Boarder's tack rooms, inside and outside wash stalls, 10 sand/ 4 double fenced pasture turnout areas, covered lunging arena with enclosed viewing area, 70 x 160 rubber covered/ lighted outdoor arena with enclosed viewing area, hot walker, mini medical paddocks, run-in sheds w. heated stock tanks, compost facility, mini trail, picnic area. In addition to boarding horses, we provide classical seat riding instruction as well as equine wellness services, including Class IV Therapeutic Laser, homeopathy & nutritional approaches, corrective shoeing, & saddle-fitting. And we are also an educational institution & United States Pony Club Riding Center. We serve as an intern site for high school ag-tech programs, Vet tech programs & universities. We also teach anxious students and students with learning disabilities.
