Overview: Join our team as a Horseback Riding Cabin Counselor and make a lasting impact on campers while immersing yourself in the fun and rewarding environment of a premier residential summer camp. With a focus on fostering campers’ growth, learning, and enjoyment, this role combines equestrian expertise with mentoring and leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

Cabin Leadership:

• Reside in a cabin with 10 campers, serving as a mentor, role model, and caretaker.
• Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive living environment that aligns with Circle F’s mission and values.
• Supervise daily cabin routines, ensuring safety, organization, and timely transitions between activities.

Equestrian Program Instruction:

• Teach riding lessons in English and Western disciplines tailored to beginner through advanced skill levels.
• Lead trail rides and provide instruction in horsemanship, including grooming, tacking, and horse care.
• Ensure the safety and well-being of campers and horses during all equestrian activities.
• Collaborate with other equestrian staff to deliver an engaging and educational program.

Camper Engagement:

• Build meaningful connections with campers, encouraging their emotional, social, and physical growth.
• Lead or assist with camp-wide activities, evening programs, and special events.
• Actively participate in camp life, promoting Circle F’s values of Respect, Inspiration, Positive Thinking, Play, Leadership, and Engagement (R.I.P.P.L.E.).

Qualifications:

• Passion for working with children and young people in a residential camp setting.
• Experience in horseback riding and knowledge of either or both English and Western disciplines.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must be authorized to work in U.S.A

Work Environment: This is a residential position requiring counselors to live on-site in a cabin with campers. All meals, lodging, and program training are provided for the duration of employment.

Must be an experienced Horseback Rider.

Live In- This position is a summer cabin counselor position that requires staff to live in a cabin with 10 campers and an additional co counselor.
