🌾 Job Opening: Senior Property Maintenance and Horse Caretaker 🌾
Are you passionate about horses and looking for a unique opportunity to work on a peaceful, quiet small horse farm in South Florida? We are excited to announce a position for a senior-level, mature property maintenance and horse caretaker to join our team.
Key Requirements:
- Must speak fluent English
- Must currently reside in the USA with NO addictions
- Valid driver’s license and Own vehicle
- Clean background check and ability to pass a drug test
- Professional References from prior employers
Please Note: This position is not a barn manager or riding role and is more suited for a man due to the demands of heavy lifting and property maintenance.
Scope of Work Includes:
- Feeding horses and managing turnout/in throughout the day
- Thoroughly cleaning stalls, barn, lounge and paddocks
- Performing property repairs and maintenance
- Landscaping and general upkeep of the farm
- Grooming and providing wound care for horses
- Construction experience is a plus.
This is a fantastic opportunity to exit the rat race, but still enjoy working with horses in a low stress, tranquil environment. Living accommodations for one individual only. Please note, no pets are allowed.

Requirements
Competent and gentle horse handler, efficient, and thorough cleaning skills. Self-motivated, self-starter, horse lover who is willing to follow directions.
This is a perfect position for someone who has spent their career in the rat race and is looking for a more relaxing job with horses. It does involve physical labor and heavy lifting at times. Must be able to read and follow directions exactly without ad libbing, be flexible as needs change.
Must treat boss and others with utmost respect as you will be treated the same.

If you are a skilled handyman, have formal experience caring for horses and have been employed to maintain a farm, we would like to hear from you. Our small 5 acre farm offers nine horse stalls in a quiet, safe equine neighborhood. A furnished room, utilities, Wi-fi, TV, kitchen, laundry, and free parking is available for the right candidate.
The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a calm and even-tempered demeanor, and a positive outlook. Personal hygiene is important, as is treating everyone with respect and courtesy—just as we will treat you.
Please note that due to the safety-sensitive nature of our work, candidates will be required to undergo drug testing, a criminal background check, and provide a detailed work history.
