Looking for a full time working student at active event barn with 30+ horses to start immediately. Working students do am/pm feedings & turn in/out, stall cleaning, and other various barn chores. Assisting at competitions. Great environment to learn about managing a barn, a training and lesson program, first aid, etc.
Daily riding and for the right person there could even be opportunities to compete and to teach. Regular instruction from 5 star FEI rider. Incredible group of people at this barn, fun and supportive. A very unique and rewarding opportunity for a working student.
We need someone with a willingness to learn and ability to take direction as well as take a joke. Minimum 6 month commitment BUT STRONGLY PREFER 1 YEAR+. More beneficial for everyone.

Shared two bedroom apartment with washer, dryer, dishwasher, wi-fi, satellite TV (brand new flatscreen with HDMI ports for Amazon Fire/Roku, etc). Detached from main house & shared with one other working student. Current appliances, beautiful bathroom. Food stipend provided as well as weekly stipend for living expenses. Pasture board for one horse. No pets allowed, sorry.

There are opportunities to ride with other top riders and clinicians. A very enjoyable work environment that focuses on team work, horsemanship, riding, and barn management.
For the right person there is also the opportunity to teach and learn about instruction at all levels, which you get paid on top of your stipend for.
This job teaches you every aspect: competition, young horse training, training horses for clients, sales, running a lesson program, managing a boarding barn (35+ horses), first aid, show grooming, etc. Any working student job is tough, but the hours are not as bad as many out there, the housing is beautiful and the benefits speak for themselves.
